Ice Cubes
Scott sat down on a warm September afternoon and drew what he loved most about cold drinks: the way ice cubes catch the light and slowly melt on the surface. He added a slice of lime to bring a touch of color, and wrote the words “Ice Cubes” in calligraphy on the left.
The small details are what make this piece special — the water droplets, the soft shadows under each cube, the texture of the ice, and the way the lime’s juice catches the light. A small red seal sits in the upper right corner, the artist’s mark.
Dated September 5, 2019, and signed by Scott Wei. A quiet still-life study that shows how carefully he was observing the world around him.
